I Got Props

Jan2

MommaK at Petroville makes me blush! (Awww, thanks.) Wouldn't you know, this month I didn't give out a Perfect Post Award myself, but you should still go check out who everyone else recognized this month. Who knows, you may just find a new blog you really love!

A Perfect Post, October

BohogirlI know I've skipped a couple of months doing this, but this time I knew I could find something fitting, as I've been reading so much great stuff from you guys lately. This month, I'm awarding my choice for the Perfect Post to sweet, creative Boho Girl of Chronicles of Me, for her post "Ready For the Messy".

The Original Perfect Post AwardsShe is so in touch with herself and her creativity, she's constantly seeking out her path and looking for beauty. I find her really inspirational. And if you haven't been to her site and checked out her artwork, you really should.

*You can check out who everyone else chose to give a Perfect Post Award to this month either here or here.

A Perfect Post, July

A Perfect Post I have just recently started semi-blog-stalking Jonniker. She's funny. She's honest. She's a fabulously talented writer in terms of expressing her ideas in a creative and unique way that makes me feel like I can imagine her talking next to me. And did I mention she's funny? As hell.

So this month, I'm bestowing the Perfect Post Award to Jonniker for her post, "Daysleeper". She made me laugh so hard, plus she captured the way I also feel from the moment I wake up in the morning through about, say, one o'clock in the afternoon? You'll enjoy it. Trust me. See other people's picks here.

A Perfect Post, May

(Don't know what the heck this Perfect Post Award thing is? Read more here.)

This month was an easy pick for me. I knew as soon as I read this that it would be my choice for today. Why? Because it addresses something that I wrestle with every day...the idea of maintaining who you really are, who you ALWAYS were, by remembering who you always wanted to be. It's so easy to forget in the midst of The Adult World, with it's responsibilities, stressors and diversions, who and what you really are at your core. It's easy to give up the dreams you once had. But you don't have to, as is so well-put in the post I chose this month.

A Perfect Post

My choice for the Perfect Post Award goes to Chris at Rude Cactus for his post, "Remember Who You Wanted to Become"

A Perfect Post, April

Aprilbutton3_1Okay, so if you don't understand what the heck this Perfect Post thing is, go here for a little clarification. Without further ado, here's my pick for the Perfect Post for April:

Assurance", by Tammie at Soul Gardening.

This wasn't the first time I've been moved by the way she expresses herself, and I think you'll all be able to relate. Also, check out the full list of Perfect Post Awards (who did everyone else choose?) here.

A Perfect Post, March

How many blogs do you read? Personally, I have over 70 in my feed reader. Damn. That's a lot of stuff to read. Don't you come across posts from time to time that hit you as brilliant, touching, or simply hilarious? Well, I do ALL the time (you guys are so freaking fabulous) and now there's a way to recognize one such post each month that I can pass on to all of you. Yes, choosing just one IS hard, especially for someone who takes 15 minutes to choose the "right" spaghetti sauce in the grocery store aisle (that is SO not me...ahem), but those are the rules.

This month I'm awarding the Perfect Post honor upon:

A Perfect PostMy dear sweet Paige at Miss Domestic for her post, "Part One in a Series of Things I'm Terrified Of but Would Probably Check Out Anyway"

Paige is always amazing me with her intelligence and wit, plus GOOD LORD the girl is Ungodly Gorgeous, as is her wee son. The reason I chose this post was because of how damned well she crafts her words. Plus, I have deep deep love for anything that mocks Tom Cruise. Check Paige out or be deemed Morbidly Uncool!

Also, if you'd like to participate and give out a Perfect Post Award next month, email me and I'll get you hooked up for next month's update!

"A Perfect Post", February 2006

So I read a lot of blogs, you see? And I come across a lot of posts (REALLY good posts) that I think about passing on to you, but then I forget. Or I just get distracted. I am A.D.D. like that.

This is why I was excited to have been invited to take part in a NEW! and EXCITING! way to recognize one fabulous post each month. Whether it's been absolutely hilarious, heartbreakingly honest, or just very well-written...every 1st of the month I will recognize what I consider "A Perfect Post" from the previous month. (This idea was the brainchild of the lovely ladies of Suburban Turmoil and Petroville.)

A Perfect Post

So without further ado, my award for February's "A Perfect Post" goes to:

"No, I Don't Drink Coffee", by Pauly D. at Words for My Enjoyment
Pauly is quite simply hilarious. He's like, a real writer and stuff, so it makes sense that he can craft his words perfectly to evoke maximum funny, yes? His posts never disappoint, and I always wonder "HOW did he come up with that?!?" I get a kick out of each of his rants and observations. Check him out!
